Versus Acta at London Climate Action Week
Jun 25, 2025
Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the Climate Innovation Forum, a flagship event of London Climate Action Week, bringing together climate leaders from business, finance, government, and civil society to discuss practical pathways to net zero.
One particularly powerful session, “Where Nature Meets Procurement” explored how companies can embed nature and climate considerations directly into their sourcing strategies and supply chains. The panel featured representatives from:
Nestlé
Procter & Gamble
Wildlife Conservation Society
Lestari Capital

Together, they offered perspectives from across the supply chain - from global CPGs to conservation and financing - and emphasized the need to move from isolated sustainability efforts to systemic, collaborative procurement practices.
A standout moment came from Michal Zrust (Lestari Capital), who spoke about the challenge of “carbon fractioning”: the fragmentation of sustainability efforts across disconnected buyers. Without coordination or shared demand, no single actor can justify the cost or risk of investing in sustainable sourcing at scale.
This is exactly the problem we are working on at Versus Acta.
We’re building the infrastructure to aggregate demand for sustainable procurement, and to enable companies to invest in supply chain carbon insets - not just at Tier 1, but across the full value chain. Our mission is to make insetting scalable, claimable, and investable, helping buyers and suppliers align around credible climate and nature outcomes.
If you’re looking to reduce your CO₂e emissions and nature impact through smarter sourcing, especially upstream, we would love to talk.
